The Huntington's Disease Foundation says, "when you become a volunteer HD ARMY Ambassador, you will join forces with passionate individuals and families from around the HD community to let the world know we need a cure today." HD ARMY Ambassadors organize events from mountain climbing to bake sales to internet fundraisers. HDFI provides resources and tools for ambassadors to host third-party events, and proceeds support the Foundation in their funding of patient services, research, and HDFI signature programs for the Huntington's Disease community.
HD Voice is a group of volunteers who help the Huntington's Disease Association (HDA) learn about the needs of families living with Huntington’s. They work on different projects to help the HDA make sure information, literature, and research the HDA is involved in has the biggest impact for the people they work with. There are two panels:
1) The research panel: available to researchers looking for a 'patient' voice in development planning; and
2) The reader panel: mainly involved in internal HDA work such as reviewing updates to the website and to fact/guidesheets to give a 'patient' view.
Huntington's Victoria considers volunteers, their lived experiences, skills, time, expertise, and points of view to be an invaluable resource, and are always looking for highly motivated people interested in volunteering with the organization.
